Discover Venice in a unique and fascinating way with our boat tours! You'll be able to board comfortably from our boarding point, located right in front of Caserma Cornoldi - Riva degli Schiavoni, just a few steps from St. Mark's Square - the ideal location for those staying in the heart of the city's historic center. Once on board, you will be welcomed by our escorts, ready to tell you about the magic of the Venetian lagoon in a multilingual tour (Italian, English, Spanish and French).

Our tour includes three fascinating stops:
Murano, the world-famous glass island, is famous for its thousand-year-old tradition of glassmaking. During the approximately one-hour stop, you will have the opportunity to visit a local glassworks, watch a live demonstration by expert master glassmakers, and discover the magic of glassblowing. You'll also visit the exhibition hall and set aside some free time to explore the island and stop for lunch at one of its quaint restaurants.

Burano, another enchanting island that awaits you with its brightly colored houses and unique atmosphere. Here, too, during a stop of about an hour, you can discover the tradition of lace-making and watch a demonstration in one of the island's historic stores, such as "Dalla Olga." Don't miss the chance to taste the typical Burano cookies, "Bussolà," by sampling them at the Dai Fradei store in the heart of Burano.

Finally, Torcello, a small island that, although minor, is incredibly rich in history. It was in fact the first settlement in the Venetian lagoon during the barbarian invasions. A mysterious place to explore, it is home to the splendid Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, famous for its mosaic, one of the largest in Europe. Its wonders also include the Devil's Bridge, a place shrouded in fascinating legends, and the famous Throne of Attila.

The tour takes about 4.5 hours, ending around 6 p.m. (time may vary depending on sailing times), with return to the starting point, Cornoldi Barracks-Riva degli Schiavoni.

After the school closed, a meticulous cultural restoration effort led to the creation of the museum, which today preserves and displays over one hundred precious artifacts, bearing witness to lace production in the Venetian Lagoon from the 16th to the 20th century. As part of the Venice Civic Museums system, the exhibition experience is enriched by the presence of lace makers, who still demonstrate their techniques live today, and by an extensive historical archive filled with drawings, photographs, and documents.

The Torcello Museum, on the other hand, offers a fascinating journey to the origins of Venetian civilization through a unique collection of archaeological artifacts and medieval works of art. Occupying a strategic position since Roman times, the island served as a key landing point and hub for trade between the sea and the hinterland, connected to major transportation routes such as the Via Annia and the Via Claudia Augusta. In the centuries that followed, especially during the barbarian invasions, Torcello became one of the main settlements in the lagoon, welcoming fleeing populations and developing until it reached its peak of splendor around the 10th century, establishing itself as the first true lagoon city.

Reduced: children ages 6 to 14, students ages 15 to 25, and visitors over 65.

After the school closed, a consortium formed by Venetian public agencies and the Andriana Marcello Foundation—which had been established in the meantime—began, starting in 1978, a meticulous effort to rediscover and promote this art form: the archive of the former school, rich in important documents and drawings, was reorganized and cataloged; the building was renovated and transformed into an exhibition space. Thus, the Lace Museum was born. On display are over one hundred precious pieces from the School’s extensive collection, as well as important examples of Venetian lace production from the 16th to the 20th century. Included in the Civic Museums of Venice since 1995, this space now offers not only an exhibition of highly valuable pieces but also the opportunity to observe firsthand the techniques demonstrated by the lace makers, who remain the custodians of this art and are present at the museum in the mornings. In addition, the archive—an important source of historical and artistic documentation, containing drawings, photographs, and various iconographic materials—is available to scholars.
